The cut bench mark is cut into a stone sited on a grass area at the side of Cannon's Gate Road at Dover Castle, at the junction with Castle Hill Road. I thought at first it was a WD boundary stone, albeit with a somewhat damaged stone face. However, on closer inspection it appears to be not only a CBM, but also the remains of a Bolt can be seen above the CBM. There also appears to be a 'rivet' on the top of the stone. A large vertical cut groove is also visible on the face directly to the right of the CBM face.
