This railroad undercrossing was erected in 1939 and is still in use today. There are two tunnels with sidewalks on either side of Main St although the north (left) side of Main street underpass has been filled with concrete to prevent any foot traffic under the underpass. This was done back in the late 70s.

There is also a bronze plaque on the SE corner of Main Street and Spring Street which commemorates the construction of the underpass.

The concrete that makes up the undercrossing has slowly eroded over time and some of the metal railings have become damaged or broken off over the years.
