This beautiful sculpture is mounted on a wall the surrounds
SFFD Station 34 in San Francisco. The Phoenix symbolizes rising from the ashes. This Phoenix is carrying a fire axe in its right talons and a fire hose in its left talons. Small flames burn beneath the Phoenix. The sculpture is set on an wall of bricks, each with the word "Life" or "Ashes" on it. A plaque on the wall to he right of the sculpture reads:
