This Magnolia tree is dedicated to Friedel Klussman, who was known as the "Cable Car Lady" for her efforts to preserve and protect those rolling monuments of San Francisco. This tree is not far from the Friedel Klussman Arch at the cable car turn-around at Hyde and Beach Streets. The plaque at the base of the tree reads:
