Find A Grave indicates that Mrs. Smith, the wife of Frank Smith, committed suicide during a time of what we'll call "matrimonial unhappiness" involving another woman. Interestingly, "1881" is on one face of the monument, with no apparent significance, nor is there any indication as to why she shares the marker with Tommie Hoffman.
