Lionel and Jean are taking Rocky’s home for weekends in the country. Their first weekend doesn’t go totally to plan.
They arrive late and slightly upset Mrs Bale by bringing their own food. Being tired after the journey Lionel and Jean have an afternoon nap, only to be woken up by Alan, Glenys, Derek and Dorcus. Apparently Rocky’s house hosts a meet of the country set on the first Saturday of the month. Worse still, all the other Saturdays the country set meet at other members houses.
With Saturday written off, Lionel and Jean go for a stroll in the village, Letchmore Heath, and bump into the country set again at the pub, the Three Horseshoes. On returning home they find that Alistair has brought Judy and Sandy down for the day, closely followed by Penny and Stephen. Penny and Stephen appear to want to come most weekends. Fortunately, Mrs Bale manages to get rid of Penny and Stephen by claiming fog in Hampshire.
