These two lions flank the main entrance to the ordination hall of one of the more prestigious temples in Vientiane. The lions are immediately seen as one enters the temple grounds, from the main entrance. In style, they appear to be "Laos', which is to say, similar to other lions I have seen in northern Laos. The Laos style differs noticeably from Thai lions. The lions are also worn, weathered, but look to be recently repainted. It is possible that these lions were part of the original establishment of the temple.
