The Acacia Veterans Memorial was a senior class project in 1995-1996 by Jerry Harlan of Mazama High School and a tribute to the men and women of Klamath Falls who have fought in various wars to protect the freedoms of men and women in our country.
All materials and labor were donated by Eternal Hills and other aspects of the memorial were donated by individuals and organizations of Klamath Falls.
I do not what the significance of the word 'Acacia' means in the title of the memorial and it is not noted anywhere on the plaques.
There are individual names on markers of men and women who have fought in various wars monumented on three of the four sides of the memorial.
There is a small parking area just to the north of the memorial for visitors to stop and pay respect to the local veterans of Klamath Falls.
Type of Memorial: Non-Specific Memorial
Wars mentioned (Multi-war only): No specific wars are mentioned on the markers. There are individual veteran markers that list the war(s) they served in.

Description of Memorial: The memorial is made of brick and has bronze markers on the front and back as well as bronze shields representing all branches of service. There are individual veteran markers that represent local veterans that have served in all major wars over the years and are placed on all four sides of the monument.
There are also flags from all branches of service as well as the US Flag, Oregon State flag and the POW/MIA flag on flagpoles directly behind the monument. The bronze cannon that sits on top of the monument is a great symbol representing the veterans. Anyone who has had a local friend or family member serve in a previous war would appreciate visiting this memorial.
