Cannon number 78GWB, manufactured in 1897 at the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois. This cannon was in action in the Philippine Islands in 1898-1902.
It is one of three brought back to the United States in 1920 through the efforts of the Spokane Veteran Soldiers Monument Association.
