~ from the Manitoba Historical Society (visit link) ~ Hawkins School District was organized March 1891 and a school building was constructed in the northeast quarter of 12-7-15 west of the Principal Meridian, in the Rural Municipality of South Cypress. It closed in January 1959 and students were bussed to Glenboro Consolidated School No. 2367. This cairn was erected on the former school site.
