"Im Jahre 1892 pflanzte ein Missionar einen ganz besonderen Baum, der "Schneeglöckchenbaum" (Schneeglöckchen-Baum) im Ortsgebiet von Hof, eine Pflanze, die aus China stammt.
Der Baum wurde für seine merkwürdige Färbung bekannt: Im Mai werden die Spitzen immer weiß, dann die Blätter rot und grün und im Juli umgekehrt.

This is the only snowdrop tree in Austria!
The tree is 120 years old!

"In 1892 a missionary planted a very special tree, the "Schneeglöckchenbaum"
(snowdrop tree)in the village area of Hof, a plant which originates in China.
The tree became famous for its curious coloring: im May the tips are getting white, then the leaves turn red, and green in July.
