The Mount Washington Height Armed Forces Memorial stands on Grandview Avenue, at the Duquesne Incline’s Grandview Station. The memorial consists of an obelisk atop a granite base. On top of the obelisk is a world globe which symbolizes those who fought in the World Wars. Attached to the globe is a POW flag. Affixed to the base of the memorial are bronze plaques with the names of the veterans from the Allegheny County Area of died defending our freedom.
