Long Description:
This statue overlooks the Dana Point Harbor below. It is about 10 feet tall and it shows and demonstartes us how these cow hides were thrown over the cliff into the bay below for ships to transport them back to europe. This statue is carrying one of those hides.The Hide Drogher plaque says "New England sailors of the 1800's tossed locally raised cowhides from these cliffs to be traded for finished good carried by their ships."
