Quick Description: In Tankerton this orientation table can be seen with its faded directions engraved in a wooden shell design. It is similar to the one at Seasalter, also in Whitstable.
Location: South East England, United Kingdom

Waymark Code: WMEC7P
The board can be somewhat overlooked as it isn't until closer inspection allows that you can make out arrows and place names. It is indeed an orientation table weathered with time and sea salt in the air around Tankerton.
To begin is the north point declaring our location as Tankerton. To the north-west is Whitstable Street but the other names are so worn they can not be read. Looking on the map we can see that Margate lies to the north-east and Leysdown-on-Sea to the north-north-west on the Isle of Sheppey. Across Tankerton Bay we reach the Essex coast with Southend-on-Sea, Shoeburyness and beyond.
Nearby is an information board detailing the interesting history of the area.
