This Starbucks may be the only one in the world on the second floor above a McDonalds. But, that is the reality of life in this increasingly vertical city where businesses are stacked on top of each other. The glassed wall does offer a great view of the street below, though.
Myeongdong has long been a magnet for the young, trendy set with its modern shopping venues, theaters, and upscale eateries. There is also a lesser known, but extensive underground shopping area that stretches for blocks - another common element of life in the capital city.
