The village sign is sited on the cross road opposite the former village school at the junction of Mongeham Road and Chapel Lane at Ripple. It shows in silhouette the Ripple Smock Mill and St Mary The Virgin Church over a horse and plough. A small plaque attached to the sign post reads;
Erected by Ripple Parish / To commemorate / Queen Elizabeth II / Golden Jubilee / 2002
