The Taichert Building was built in 1900. The two-story brick and stucco building was built in an Italianate style. It features projecting bay windows on the second story on one side and also on the facade. It has a pressed metal cornice.

The building was originally built as a saloon and club rooms by U.S. Deputy Marshal N.T. Cordova and J.G. Montano. It later served as store and warehouse for prominent wool and hides company.

The building appears to be in good condition and was undergoing renovation when I visited.
