From the post office in Union proceed north about ¾ of a block on Main Street (Highway 237) then turn right (east) on Beakman Steet for 0.4 miles and continue onto Highway 203 for 5.4 miles to the mark on the left set in a small headwall at the bottom of a sloping hill.

The mark is 26 feet southeast of the painted centerline of the road, about level with the road, and set in the center of a 3 foot wide concrete headwall for a small water pipe. It is 3 feet south-southwest of a metal USGS witness post and 3 feet north-northeast of a wooden witness post
