Langstrath is a uninhabited valley in the centre of the Lake District. This bridge is at the western end of the valley.

This is a very popular walk forming a short circuit from Stonethwaite across this bridge and back down the other side of the beck. The Cumbria Way long distance path uses the north bank, but does not cross this footbridge. On the south bank the track is very rocky, whereas the north bank is boggy and grass covered. Near an intake area called Johnny House on maps.
