Am Ufer steht das 2001 hier aufgestellte lebensgroße Denkmal "Herr und Hund" des Gmunder Bildhauers Quirin Roth, welches an den Nobelpreisträger Thomas Mann und seine Hund Bauschan erinnert, der hier im Hungerwinter 1918 mit fünf Personen gastfreundlich aufgenommen wurde von der Bevölkerung.
Die Statue ist aus Bronze und zeigt einen Mann mit Spazierstock der vor einem Hund steht.
