Long Description:
In 2010 these two windmills stopped spinning. Some time later I talked to the owner and he said that lightening had destroyed the computer which controlled the system. He said that this was costing him $1000 per month in electric bills, and he was really eager to get them back on line. Thankfully the software seems to have been restored, as the windmills are turning once again when the wind blows.
There are multiple locations to get a good view of this pair of power converters. They are down in a valley, so you can look down from above if you wish. I enjoy them every evening as I drive over Kinter Hill from Edinboro to home.
