The
Crystal River Hatchery is the states's flagship brood fish or egg producing unit. Here millions of trout eggs are collected to be hatched and raised at other facilities for release into rivers and lakes around the state. The Crystal River Hatchery, a cold water facility, raises
Rainbow trout,
Snake River Cutthroat Trout, and standard
Cutthroat trout brood fish.
While 'You Are Here' why not walk the
Self Guided Walking Tour ... it's only about 30 minutes and you get to see lots of trout at all different stages of development before they are released into the wild rivers of Colorado and neighboring states.
The
YAH is on the left most panel of the information kiosk.
