in White Post, Virginia transports visitors back to the Mesozoic Age where dinosaurs roam among the trees... and other not-so-Jurassic creatures like the 70' octopus, the 60' shark, and King Kong!
Joseph Geraci started Dinosaur Land in 1963. It evolved from a gift shop he ran along the highway between Front Royal and Winchester. King Kong became a resident after Geraci was inspired by the 1976 Dino De Laurentiis movie. The fiberglass giant ape towers twenty feet and a ramp allows visitors to sit in his hand.
