Actually this is quite a dramatic display during the spring and summer when the grass is green and the planters are full of bright flowers. The bronze sculpture rests on a thin, round granite base in the center of this grassy oval. There are other sculptures and a rock garden nearby.

The horizontal form of this sculpture with its smooth, flexible links gives us a clear,
transparent image of social connections, and also the finiteness of life. The form of
this sculpture evokes visions of mountains and streams and of a human society of
harmonious solidarity and mutual cooperation.
