The Romero Block at 174-178 Bridge Street was built in 1919, the last building built on the Plaza. The building was built by Secundino Romero, a local political leader and member of the wealthy Romero family. The two-story brick building is in a Mission Revival style. The building has four store fronts. The roofline has a stepping parapet.

The building is in very good condition and the main corner storefront has a drug store with a soda fountain.
