Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital is owned by Dr. David Friddle who is a graduate of Auburn University. The hospital opened in May of 1981. They see dogs, cats, birds, small mammals (rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, etc.) and now some reptiles. There are three veterinarians and three licensed veterinary technicians as well as veterinary assistants and kennel staff. They perform medicine, surgery, dentistry, and boarding. A groom shop is next door. There are plans to open a pet day care center by the hospital in one to two years.
