These bricks remind us of a unique time and the people who made it happen. Flying KC-97s was risky. They were flying targets.
It took teamwork and coordination. Dedicated Nov. 10, 2004.

The Air Force motto, Peace through Power makes this a Peace Memorial. This memorial is in the shadow of the starboard wing as one approaches the steps. There are two parts, one recognizes the local sponsors who supported the project.
Major Bud Glickman was one of the men who flew these behemoths of the air. Fighters must have breathed a sign of relief, knowing their "gas station" in the air was backing them up.
This is intended as a companion to the Static aircraft WM EA3A, in progress.
