Paul Krueger of Troop 1202 built a fire pit surrounded by four benches made of logs for his Eagle Scout project. According to a letter Paul wrote to the editor of the Culpeper Star-Exponent in June 2011, he estimated that it would take 100 concrete blocks to build the pit. The pit and benches sit near Mountain Run, a stream that runs through the park. Four of the stones are engraved with the direction they face -- North, West, South, East. One stone is inscribed:
