This hotel has been the vacation spot for celebrities and politicians, has been the site for several films and books, and is located on one of America's finest beaches in the posh San Diego neighbor community of Coronado.
The 1,000 Places to See in the U.S.A. & Canada Before You Die book further informs us that the hotel has hosted 14 Presidents and is famous for the Marilyn Monroe film "Some Like It Hot" being filmed here. The hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places...and is reportedly haunted, see (
