Malostranska beseda, originally Prague's Lesser Town City Hall (Malostranská radnice), is the late-Renaissance building in Malostranske námestí (Lesser Town Square) in the center of Prague's Lesser Town (Malá Strana). The "ex-city hall", serves for many years as a social and cultural centre of the district.
Prague's Lesser Town City Hall, originally Gothic structure from
1478–1481, was plundered by Passauer army in 1611 and finally rebuilt in the late-Renaissance style by G. M. Filippi (1617–1630). The internal structure and loggia are from year 1660. Three towers with onion-shape cuppolas were a part of the building until 1828, when were removed. The original late-Renaissance look, including these three toweres, was restored during the last great reconstruction of the building in 2006-2009. The building served as Lesser Town City Hall until the administrative fusion of all Prague's towns into one City in 1784.
