DI3549 - NGS 'X 759' Control Mark - Klamath Falls, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I had no idea that this control mark was located so close to my girlfriend's house on Sunshine Place, but there it was. I'm not a surveyor but I was a little surprised that the control mark is a vertical control mark imbedded horizontally rather then imbedded vertically, like the vertical control marks you find imbedded in concrete piers of a highway overpass or railroad, like I've logged in the past. Attached picture shows a good reference shot of the concrete foundation, which used to serve as a water station of some sort for the former OC&E Railroad back in the day.
