Right behind all the tanks and armored vehicles, I liked this image of the outdoor chapel, under the sky, with stone benches to contemplate, and a salute to the ruins the soldiers may have encountered in Europe.

East of Indio on I-10, at the top of the Chiraco summit stands the George Patton Memorial Museum. It offers videos and displays inside, and a collection of tanks and armored vehicles outside. If you wish to read the names on the dedicated pavers, wait until the museum closes. There is a lot to see and consider here.
The outdoor chapel faces north, with about a dozen stone benches.
