The Parliament of Cambodia has two chambers. The National Assembly of Cambodia (Radhsphea) has 123 members, elected for a five year term by proportional representation. The Senate (Protsaphea) has 58 members, appointed by the king on recommendation of the parties in the National Assembly of Cambodia. The King serves as the Head of the State for life. The King reigns but does not govern, and is the symbol of the unity and of the nation. (
