"The new National Assembly office building of Cambodia in Phnom Penh was inaugurated on July 7 2007. The Khmer-style mansion took four years and cost 26 million U.S. dollars to become the most updated government building of the country." (visit link)

The Parliament of Cambodia has two chambers. The National Assembly of Cambodia (Radhsphea) has 123 members, elected for a five year term by proportional representation. The Senate (Protsaphea) has 58 members, appointed by the king on recommendation of the parties in the National Assembly of Cambodia. The King serves as the Head of the State for life. The King reigns but does not govern, and is the symbol of the unity and of the nation. (visit link)
