The East Conemaugh Veterans park was created in the mid-1970's after the Conemaugh School that sat on this site was razed. There is a pavilion and toilet facility that was established . A fire Department memorial was established in the park in 1978 and also there is a memorial to the school (Conemaugh Iron Horses, the former school's mascot from 1901 to 1972, when the school closed.
