The Museum of Anatomy of the University of Basel was founded in 1824 by Carl Gustav Jung.

The museum owns a large collection of models which have played an important role in the history of anatomical science – for example a skeleton prepared by Andreas Vesal in 1543, the world's oldest original anatomical praparation, valuable historic wax models of the early 19th century and many more.

Additionally there are special exhibtions and work shops for groups and schools.
