Eakin Mill Covered Bridge
Arbaugh, Ohio

Because this bridge, built in 1870, carried heavy traffic for the nearby Eakin Mill, the extra sturdy construction using multiple Kingpost trusses, was used by by the construction firm of Gilman and Ward, something not found in most covered bridges of this era. It is of all wood construction with at total length of 111 feet. Eventually, heavier truck traffic began to take its toll on the bridge, and a new bridge was constructed in 2003.

The Eakin Mill Bridge has also been known as the Arbaugh Bridge, McLaughlin Bridge and Geer's Mill Bridge.
