The sculpture named Cimmy by local school children is a life sized metal sculpture of an Apatosaurus. The sculpture is by Joe Barrington is constructed of welded sheet steel. The size of of the sculpture was based on bones found in a dig in Cimarron County in 1931. It measures 65 feet long, 35 feet tall and weighs 18,000 pounds. The sculpture was sponsored by local amateur paleontologists, Bob and Norma Gene Young.
It is located at the Cimarron Heritage Center on Highway 287/385 on the north side of town.
