The Tin Man is 13-1/2 foot tall and weighs about 750 pounds. The metal sculpture was originally built pre-1980 and stood in front of the Log Cabin Junction Restaurant west of May, Oklahoma. About five years ago it was sold to an individual in Pueblo, Colorado. En route to its new home in Colorado the new owners stopped at the Cimarron Heritage Center. The museum curator expressed they had wished they had known he was for sale as they would have been interested. Moving 5 years forward the new owners were moving due to health reason and the Tin Man could not make the move. They remembered the conversation 5 years before and contacted the Heritage Center and asked if they would be interested in getting him. In February 2012 the Tin Man was moved to stand in front of the Heritage Center.
