A double sided village sign on Conyer Road, Conyer, Kent. The sign shows a Kent barge, often referred to as a Thames Barge, with the first barge built in Conyer in 1803 by a John Huggens. With it's access to the River Thames and the London markets, many businesses used the barges to carry goods to and from London, including the brick industry, which was thriving here in Conyer.
The Kingfisher is a common sight around Conyer, with many small waterways providing suitable habitat.
