There is a river border crossing between Vietnam and Cambodia on the banks of the Mekong. We used a fast passenger boat plying the route between Chau Doc in Vietnam and Phmom Penh, via the Vinh Xuong-Kaam Samnor border crossing.
While the passports stamping at the Vietnamese immigration was fast, it was quite longer at Kaamsamnar Kohrokar, the Cambodian checkpoint. There is a small cafe on the Vietnamese side which serves good coffee. The large gold painted Buddhist shrine at the Cambodian immigration is quite impressive compared to the tiny border station.
To my point of view, using a speedboat on the Mekong is a picturesque and comfortable option to enter Cambodia from Vietnam.
The coordinates were taken from the boat in front of the monument and flags marking the border.
