Dedicated in 1898 the Immanuel Lutheran Church was founded by Norwegians who came to this part of Whatcom County following work. They then settled, logged, and farmed the land.

Sited in the picturesque valley at the base of the Cascade Foothills, Immanuel Lutheran Church was found in the early 1890s. The building was started in 1892 and construction lasted until 1898. Today it continues to serve the descents of the Norwegian settlers who came to this part of Whatcom County.
