The Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum is a must see for anyone who appreciates fine art, cultural affinity, or simply likes to look at a pretty picture or statue.
In the garden area in front of the two buildings, which comprise the Museum, and in front of the buildings there are a mix of statues. One of these is of a man, depicted ~one half full size. The statue is entitled 'Liberation Soldier', it was crafted in 2001, by the Vietnamese sculptor and artist Nguyen Thannthi.
Of note is that the statue has a hollow midriff, and inside this hollow is a small bell. I am unsure of the symbolism, but here it is, a bell, inside a statue, at the Museum.
