This station, a U.S. Geological Survey standard bench mark disk, is locate in Hancock, NH. It is set in a rock outcrop at the south (east) side of the former Keene Branch of the Boston & Maine Railroad right of way. The rail has long been abandoned and removed. The NHDOT datasheet description gives the most recent to-reach info for this station:
THE STATION IS LOCATED IN HANCOCK.TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE WEST JUNCTION OF STATE ROUTES 123 NORTH AND 137 SOUTH AT THE COMMON IN HANCOCK, GO SOUTH FOR 1.8 MI (2.9 KM) ON ROUTE 137 TO A LEFT HAND CURVE AND AN ABANDONED RAILROAD LEDGE CUT ON THE RIGHT. PACK SOUTH FOR 1,550 FT ALONG THE RAILROAD BED (FROM THE SOUTH END OF THE LEDGE CUT) TO MILEPOST K 19 ON THE RIGHT AND THE DISK ON THE LEFT.THE STATION IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED--MAC 36 1925--, SET IN THE TOP OF A GRANITE BOULDER, 2.0 FT (0.6 M) ABOVE THE RAILROAD BED. 100 FT (30.5 M) SOUTH FROM AN 8-FT X 10-FT X 10-FT HIGH BOULDER ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RAILROAD BED, 12.0 FT (3.7 M) EAST FROM THE CENTER OF THE RAILROAD BED, AND 33.0 FT (10.1 M) NORTHEAST FROM A 6-FT HIGH CONCRETE MILEPOST K19/N38.
