The Knowles Grain Elevator was constructed in 1913 for the Sappington Grain Company. It was a line elevator on the Wichita Falls and Northwestern Railway which began servicing the town in the summer of 1912. The elevator is a woodframe elevator sheathed in corrugated metal. The elevator serviced eastern Beaver County until the Great Depression and Dust Bowl led to it being abandoned.
