Long Description:
The Gate Depot was originally located in the previous location of the community of Gate about a mile from the current. It was originally built for the Wichita Falls and Northwestern Railway which was acquired by the Missouri, Kansas, Texas Railroad (MKT Railroad) in 1911. The depot was moved when the community moved. The depot continued to serve the MKT Railroad. The depot was moved to serve as a museum called the Gateway to the Panhandle Museum.
