The Eagle is a public house twixt Stratford and Leyton. The date stone is over a side door that looks, at first sight, as though it is an extension to the building. The terracotta tiles, or possibly bricks, are worked into the brickwork in a 5 x 3 formation with the '5' being horizontal. The three centre pieces hold the data and read 'Built' 'AD' '1898'.

The building is in use as a public house.
Year of construction: 1898
