Zahrady a sady jsou biotopy výrazne poznamenané clovekem. Vetšinou doprovázejí lidská sídla a skutecné prírode jsou dost vzdálené. Pro mnoho druhu rostlin a živocichu se však staly novým domovem. Na menších záhonech ve meste se udrží jen pár druhu plevelu, na vekovských loukách rozmanitosti pribývá a s vetší zahradou se zídkami už vzniká menší botanická zahrada.

Gardens and orchards are strongly marked by human influence. Usually accompany human settlements and are quite remote to real nature, but for many species of plants and animals they become the new home. On smaller beds in the city retains only a few species of weeds, but large gardens with walls, old trees and with "wild" nature are small botanical gardens.
