První zmínka o pivovaru v zázemí hradu ze 16. stol. Na pocátku 17. stol. jej vlastní mesto, po r. 1684 pražské arcibiskupství. Fungoval do 1. sv. války, arcibiskupství jej vlastnilo do konce 2. sv. války. Poté upraven na prumyslový areál.
