The Fox Hotel was built in 1912 by Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Fox. The modest two-story woodframe building had 10 bedrooms and 2 baths on the second floor and the hotel had 22 rooms overall. The hotel operated until 1961 after which the final hotel owners lived in the building as their private home until 1973. In 1973 the City of Laverne purchased the building to used as the community museum.
