Baker Street is a North-South Street in the Pacific Heights Neighborhood of San Francisco. At Green Street car traffic is still possible, but the hill is steep enough that a stairway replaces the sidewalk for pedestrians to climb the hill to Vallejo Street. The stairs are paved concrete with many small four-inch high steps.

After crossing Vallejo, the street does continue on part way up the next block, but it's too steep for cars to get to Broadway. Pedestrians can climb to Broadway Street on the Upper Baker Street stairway. From Broad southward, Baker street is once again accessible to cars.

Given coordinates are at the stairway bottom on Green Street. Coordinates at the top of the stairway on Vallejo Street are N37 47.638 , W122 26.710.
